Light and Refreshed - French Farmhouse Inspired Remodel
Ever start looking at new cars just because and suddenly you have convinced yourself you need a new one? All you really need is to get a good detailer to help you fall in love with your car again. Sometimes I believe the same thing can happen with homes. We live in them for years, fill them to the brim with all of our things and watch them date a bit and become out of style over the years. I am here to tell you that you do not have to move to love your home.
We have become experts in helping clients remodel their homes in a smart way giving them a fresh look while keeping the future value of the home foremost in our design process. Here are some stunning before and after shots. We executed the following to increase our homeowners’ value and give these YouTube stars an amazing backdrop for their videos. Light bright and fresh all while keeping the bones of the home intact.
We kept the existing cabinetry in the kitchen and painted the cabinets, added new countertops and gave the backsplash a fun update. Light fixtures and new furniture finished off this part of the remodel.
Architectural detailing was added in the dining room for a custom designed look and all the floors were kept as is and worked into the design. Drapes, furniture and accessories make this room feel current and with today’s trends.
The living room is this families main gathering space including Murray the iguana. Giving this client light and airy with 3 kids and pets would most likely make you think that white upholstery would not be an option. Today’s fabrics are amazing and come with crypton finishes that make this room beautiful and livable.
We redesigned the fireplace wall updating the fireplace and bookshelves while closing in some out of date drywall niches. Floating wood selves to match the existing wood flooring were great on the budget and the design. The home received a lighter fresher coat of paint throughout which made a huge difference in the atmosphere.
The owner’s suite needed a bit of pizazz, so we refaced the dated fireplace and furnished the room with furnishings that flowed with the other areas of the home. An ombre wallpaper accent wall anchors the bed and gives the room a serene feeling. Soft drapery and wonderful natural light make the room a great place to work or wake up to in the morning.
The owner’s bathroom received a new free-standing tub and tile floor. We were able to save the shower tiles and paint the existing cabinets and walls to give the space an entirely new look without breaking the budget. Custom accent mirrors and decorative lighting give this bathroom the finishing details that will make this homes value go up to help sell it in the future.
We touched about every surface of this home while keeping in mind our goal. Light, airy and refreshed without breaking the budget. With a lot of paint, some tile work and beautiful furnishings we were able to transform a dated home into a modern up to date family friendly home. Murry appreciates the new décor from his cage in the living room!
