Trends from Our LGID Trip to Market

This year we took a design team trip to Market and we each wanted to share some interesting and fun trends.

LISA - MIXED MATERIALS

This market mixed materials made ordinary furniture pieces much more interesting. These furniture items can become the star of your room. From metal to raffia these mixed items are a stronger statement together.

SANDY - SEEING DOUBLE

Market is always so inspiring!  This year I noticed a lot of doubling up on pieces.  Whether it was double coffee tables, double consoles, or double ottomans, it was double the fun!  I love the unexpected touch that was not only beautiful, but also functional.

JILL - SCALLOPS ALL THE WAYS!

Scallops in design is a charming, yet timeless element, making what was traditional into something updated and whimsical.  At Market, we saw scallops in everything from trim detailing, to furniture, to woodwork elements, and of course, accessories!

MICHELLE - UNIQUE & QUIRKY STATEMENT PIECES

As a designer we never want our designs to be boring! Adding quirky or unique pieces into a space is such a fun way to add some interest into your home. Luckily, this Market didn’t disappoint with introductions of cool accent tables or artwork that will add some punch into our next projects. One of my favorite pieces I saw during Market was a beautiful marquetry inlaid Mahogany butterfly accent table. I can’t wait to use this piece in my next reading nook or sitting room.

THEA - COLORFUL PIECES

These pieces all have something in common – color! Adding pops of color to statement pieces such as a credenza, living room chairs, and chests can add so much to your space. There are so many ways to bring color to your home and these are a few examples.
