Gratitude with Hospitality

I listen to a lot of books on Audible. This year one made such an impact on me that I have made it a book club title in our office. Unreasonable Hospitality has taken the best seller list by storm. It occurred to me that in this crazy time in the world that this is what we all need a little more of. The book chronicles the rise of an average restaurant in New York City to becoming the best restaurant in the world. Will Guidara accomplished this by “giving people more than they expect,” by giving above and beyond service. When was the last time you received this kind of amazing service? And when you did wasn’t it a great feeling. I think if all of us treated each other with hospitality our daily interactions would be so much better.

When thinking about amazing service it brought me back to my why. Helping our clients with their homes and offices is a very personal job. The profession of interior design is something I am very grateful for and take great pride in. My team and I strive to make the process of building, remodeling, and furnishing beautiful spaces easier on our clients. That is our why! We pull from our vast knowledge of design, vendors, and sources to come up with extraordinary designs personalized for each client. Our why and company mission is to create beautiful spaces for clients to thrive in. We are so blessed and grateful we get to do this job and work with extraordinary people.

For me hospitality (good service) is a way of showing our clients how much we appreciate them. Because of our clients we have amazing projects to work on! So, to all our past, current, and soon to be clients please know that you are our why and we are so GRATEFUL for you. We strive to give you the best service and help you every step of the way during the design process.

With the business we have created, we have the good fortune to be able to donate back to the community and have helped many charities this year. So, this year at Thanksgiving, let us all think about our why. Consider giving hospitality to everyone we encounter. We all can make an impact and change the lives of others in a positive way.
